Jose Mascolo

villa13

A wonderfully purring mediterranean track, “Sciarada” is a terrific mixture of vocalization, tropicalismo and designer disco shortly appeared on the market as a 7″ flipside in 1974. The recipe of the Sciarada cocktail goes like this: 3/10 dark rhum Captain Morgan, 3/10 cold Pineapple juice, 1/10 Bitter Campari, 1/10 Papaia Boero, 2/10 Brut Testa Rossa La Versa. Mix directly in the Long Drink glass with ice. Decorate with pineapple and maraschino cherry. To be served with a background of meowing synthesizers, possibly at the cocktail party you’re throwing at your 70s space age villa, in your private saucer-shaped discotheque and DJ booth.

La Ragazzina

la ragazzina

Immense Nico Fidenco cult soundtrack for the Mario Imperoli 1974 movie “La Ragazzina”. The very first movie starring her beautiness Gloria Guida. These are the main songs of the soundtrack, an incredibly rare and pricey CAM LP, but there was also an (even rarer) 45, with these two non-LP tracks. Possibly these are non-disco tracks, but you can foresee  some elements later to be used in a lot of disco productions.
