Daydream

daydream

Studio Orchestra – Daydream

HAKUJITSUMU aka Daydream from 1964 is one of the defining masterpieces of Pinku Eiga, the Pink Cinema, meaning Japanese films with adult content. A wide variety of subgenres fall under the pink umbrella, from softcore sex films (roman poruno), girl gang epics (sukeban films) or violent exploitation in general (a.k.a. pinky violence). From enraged nuns on rampage to homicidal schoolgirls to yakuzas hellbent on revenge, any exploitable element got used during the 60s and 70s heyday of the genre, often spiced with strong S/M sex.

There are several versions of Hakujitsumu but the original directed By Tetsuji Takechi remains the best and the most elegantly perverse. The story focuses on the increasingly lurid experiences of a woman patient under sedation in a dentist’s office. But is she really dreaming?

Above, the original poster. The image below has nothing to do with the film itself. Check it out.

The music contains snatches of The Swan Lake over a sleazy grinding rhythm.

Galaxia – Galaxia

Mondo Bizarro tunes from Cuba performed by Galaxia, a group of children or a grupo infantil as it says on the sleeve. The tracks on the album contain a druggy midtempo take on Herb Alpert’s Rise and faster hard-to-classify freak-outs like the title cut.

Mystery track

ELSANTO1

Unknown

Every now and again, you stumble upon something that defies normal logic and convention, with origins shrouded in mystery. If I had to venture a guess, I’d say this one has a title that would dislocate the tongue of anybody trying to speak it in order to hide it from the civilized world.

Löysin Viimein Paikan Kaivatun

FM2

Danny & Armi – Löysin Viimein Paikan Kaivatun

Vicky – Soita Kelloain

Disco music for Finnish people who enjoyed hanging around gas station cafeterias and supermarkets and liked to dance to music By Baccara, Boney M and songs that spoke to them in their own language. The first title translates as “At Last I Found The Much Missed Place” and the second is a version of “Ring My Bell”. Here the lyrics focus more directly on the clitoris.

The image however has people at the club that programmed only the best, the Funky Maruschka.

Galactic Dance

Sammy Burdson – Galactic Dance pts 1 & 2

Part one has fractured, clanking noises going on for a short time, almost fading away at one point then crashing back for another 15 seconds or so. After a brief silent moment the beat kicks in with the forcefully pounding part 2.

Hills Of Bondhalla

Hills Of Bondhalla

I’ll fly with you
To the Mystic Hills of Bondhalla!

Smoke-scented breeze fills the trees
And you drift away
Slowly downstream in a dream
That goes on and on
On forever!

From meditative moods to fuck-art-let’s-dance bangers, here’s some of the music I played and should have played at Camp Cosmic 2013 in the hills of Bondhalla, Sweden.

Vincent La Motta – I Ragazzi Del Disco

Vincent La Motta won first prize at the fourth Derby Della Canzione contest in 1978 with “Tre”, the a-side of this one. I Ragazzi Del Disco may not be most people’s idea of the hottest possible dance record but it is really catchy and sounds like it was made in someone’s kitchen in Palermo.

Must be an important realese as the sleeve note describes it like this: “The boundaries between the dimensions of sound are blurred as the cosmic melody defines itself through the electrodynamic gravitations of energy”.

Even though on occasion posts here may touch delicate issues in less than delicate manner, we take seriously our duty to instill in young people a set of moral values that will help guide them to responsible life choices and to protect them from disease, unintended pregnancy, homosexuality and other forms of deviant behaviour.
