I Need You Tonight

r-1051158-1188222291.jpg

Punkin Machine – I Need You Tonight (1981)

This tune is produced by J. Cucuzzella (better known for his work with Suzy Q) and written with S. Panzera and G. D’Orazio.

The background of Punkin Machine was more rock, punk and new-wave but they found then another direction with those producers when they release this single and also “Stand Me Up“.

Can’t Be Serious

cdcoverimage.jpg

AM1 – Can’t Be Serious (2006)

A Mountain Of One is an english band that doesn’t really fit a genre (not disco that’s why I hesitate…) between downtempo and psychedelism. Vintage sounds with a slow rhythm.

One of my picks of the year from their first EP
A Mountain Of One” in 2006 and compiled on the first album “Collected Works“.

This is in fact a cover of Ginny’s song back in the 80’s (related post).

Discocross

156-ff-butterflychick.jpg A one-time collaboration between Gigi Farina and Goblin for a very special LP in 1978, halfway between Prog Rock and plain Disco.
It has been finally re-issued (bootlegged) in 2007 and can now be easily found.

Universal Robot Band‘s debut LP

Dance And Shake Your Tambourine” was released after the single (see the post). The main piece more than 11min. long which is also my favorite because of its progression is so cosmic. Take this rocket!
