New York’s Movin’

cef9acc885e9826721c87d5f095d46c7.jpeg

No dancing !? … it’s crazy!
When politics are getting really dumb
here comes the time to remember those crazy moves.

Ahzz – New York’s Movin’ (1981)

So here’s a freakin’ funky disco instrumental by Ahzz (collaboration between Osborne Hunter, the producer, and Steve Boston, writer, percussionist…).

Awesome guitar riffs, groovy bassline, twisted drums, whirling violins, all the essential for me.

Check out the second track in particular, it sounds like the best of Sister Sledge.

Dracula Goes To Disco

18171817357.jpg

Following Kundalini’s footsteps I crawled deep down into my crypt and found those “tunes” – ranging from quite good or funny (if you’re a vampire yourself or in a good mood maybe) to plain horrific bad taste:

Empire / Methusalem – Ooh Dracula (1980)
Piramis – Dracula (1977)
Gerry Bribosia – Dracula Disco (1977)
The Jimmy Castor Bunch – Dracula Pt. I (1975)

Gotta Go

6518781.jpg

One of my favourite tunes coming from the repertoire of Giancarlo Meo‘s girlfriend (see this post for other tracks), and musically fairly different from anything she has ever released.
I still believe the rolling bassline sounds really close to Imagination‘s BTW.
