In the beginning, I love Mina because Pino Presti (LOVE!) wrote many songs to her. As I kept collecting Mina’s records, I came to know that Mina has many good Disco songs. “Capisco” is included in her LP “Kyrie” and EP “Buonanotte, Buonanotte”. Mina is popular even in Japan. But her late 70s and 80s works is not more popular than her 60s works. “Capisco” is written by Massimiliano Pani, who is a son of Mina and film actor Corrado Pani. I am addicted to this sticky beat.

Sørøversangen which means the Pirate song is from the danish translation of The Treasure Island “Skatteøen” Written and composed by Sebastian. This particular song is not the official version but from a Demo LP from Sebastian, released in 1990. Though i find Sebastian to be one of the finest songwriters from our little kingdom, this LP stands even further out for me since a lot of the songs which are commonly known is presented on a much more primitive way. Many of them with synth and drummachines. There’s some really great finds on this album and i thank my friend Kim for finding it to me! I raise my hand in the air and sing out loud “15 mand på en død mands kiste. Hey hoo og en hel flaske rom!” meaning “15 men on a dead mans coffin. Hey hoo and bottle full of Rum”

The rest of the material is less disco but interesting nevertheless, and that sleeve! Your all-white neo-minimalist flat-cum-gallery living space demands you frame it.
